Happy 7 Weeks!

We have been married 7 weeks, happy day to us! We are celebrating by sending me off on dance tour for 3 weeks and 3 days. It's kind of a bummer, we are sad. But once I'm out there I will love it. So, send some love to Stephen, he's going to be a lonely husband!

I have to leave soon, but here are some pictures that I've gotten off Stephen's phone and some from this week:
This was Easter Sunday...yeah, we plan to match sometimes:)

Last Monday we had FHE with my old roommates Caitlin and Carly&David.
We had a lot of fun and it was really good!

Stephen went out of town last weekend. It was horrible.
Like revenge on me for leaving now. But I decided to make freezer meals
for him while I am gone. It was a mess!

Another freezer meal - Sweet Lime Enchiladas.
Find the recipe on the FullerFineFoods Blog...so good!

After picking Stephen up from the airport Monday we went to
City Creek and Temple Square. Notice all the BEAUTIFUL tulips!

I wasn't jealous at all of the brides who get these flowers in their pictures.
I got some lovely branches and 7 more weeks of marriage!

Happy 7 weeks my sweet husband!

off to Farmington, New Mexico...

"the Beast"

Stephen has been driving a truck since he got home from his mission. Even though I thought it was kind of a pain, I have truly come to love it. Here are all the great things about "the Beast"

-We were able to move all of his stuff from Arizona to Utah plus some of my things plus four big items of free furniture from family.
-The front seats could make a row, so we could cuddle as we rode
-We were able to help our friends the Pearsons and Michael move this past week
-We went camping and slept in the back
-I only had to drive it about three times

driving to Utah after Christmas...I didn't actually drive

at the border line...to Utah, but we do look pretty ghetto!

Marriage is funny #2
Stephen is manly, I am very girly. We think very differently.
Stephen's idea of celebrating the end of school was to go camping.
My idea would have been making dinner, watching a cute move, going on a walk, etc.
I agreed to camping because we only had a few more days with the truck, so we went camping.

The trip started out with me not getting out of the truck because I was scared of the dark.
I finally got out and just stayed by the fire the whole time.

My favorite part was making tin foil dinners and banana boats, especially because Stephen said he loved it

one last good use of the truck
yes, I slept outside...even my mom was surprised!

Goodbye Beast.
Thanks for helping us haul free furniture and really high gas bills - we'll call it even
Either way, thanks for all good memories!

Sincerely, the Cases

Marriage is funny #1

Everyday we laugh, we have a lot of fun together.
Sometimes we laugh together,
sometimes we (kindly) laugh at each other,
sometimes we laugh at the situation.

I laugh everyday because we constantly move our kitchen hand towel. Stephen doesn't like that I keep the towel in the drawer; I laugh because I don't like that he puts it on the counter....

So while I'm in the kitchen it stays in the drawer, while he's in the kitchen it's on the counter... then I come once he leaves and put it back in the drawer.

We just have to laugh at it!

Basement Happenings

We live in a basement. It doesn't really seem like a basement because it's big, it's well kept, and usually has high enough ceilings. But it does seem like a basement when we go outside and haven't seen direct sunlight for a few hours...or sometimes even days when the stomach flu attacks.

But here is what we have been doing the past week in our big basement...

-Easter Sunday we were still recovering. I left the house for an hour, it was a big deal. But by the evening we were feeling better. I hid some eggs while Stephen was at Michael's Sunday lesson. I figured there won't be a lot of Easters without kids, so I hid them really well. I even had to play "hot & cold" so he could find them all.
(Stephen appreciated my "camouflaged" egg")

(eggs totally hidden in the cushions)

finally found it

(showing off my decorated mantel, do you see the egg Stephen couldn't find?)

I had to tell him

-Monday we went on a walk and ended up at Grandma's. She had some packages for us. They were Insanity and my new running shoes, thanks dad! We have already used them...Stephen is feeling it today!

yes, Stephen is hoping

-Wednesday was my last day of classes on campus!!!
(I still have to student teach, but that doesn't count in my head)

I wore my BYU gear to show my love. I love BYU, I'm going to miss the students, the teachers, the beautiful campus, the bargain books section of the bookstore, my dance team, the buildings I've lived in for four years. It went so fast with so many good things crammed into a few years. It's bittersweet so I'm glad Stephen will keep us here a few more years so I can still visit campus. But as I walked out of my last class - my last dance class I ran and gave Stephen a huge hug because I am excited to do new things with my life. So life is still so good!
Go Cougars!

What would the last day of college be like without a pressing deadline?! I truly have become a pro at these, something I take pride in. I have turned in all my sewing assignments late this semester, but my teacher has been understanding because of getting married, touring with dance, and the stomach flu twice. But I got the last assignment in 2 hours before the deadline, even she was surprised!
pretty cute hu?! Toddler 2 dress

Now it's on to finals...what are those?!

Dear stomach flu,

You have visited us way too many times in 2012, you are not welcome in our home! Please leave TODAY and let us enjoy married life!

Sincerely,
the Cases

ps - at least last night as Stephen was on the bathroom floor he was in good spirits, he obviously didn't have a night like my Thursday, which I am thankful for. Stephen serenaded me from the bathroom while he texted the words...we were having a good laugh. We're kind of sad and pathetic, we know
(this is sung to "I'm just a little girl stuck in the middle" song)
Thanks Fullers for letting me buy Moneyball on you, it got him off the floor and actually laughing a bit, and was the inspiration for this wonderful song

ps - I didn't really kick him out, I just said if he's going to be sick the toilet is a lot closer from the bathroom than our bed, I'm not that mean!

Our History

We wanted to share our history, and it's rather sweet, so here is a short version

-We went to preschool together, thank you moms for introducing us! I apparently flirted back then and it seemed to work:)
(stephen in SHORT overalls, me the cute brunette in back)
My mom loves that my napkin is perfectly laid out and can't get dirty by my snack,
compare to stephen's...explains a lot about us:)

-We dated from 16 to 19. We went to lots of school dances together, Stephen came to dance shows, we met each other after school in Horizon or PV's parking lot. We liked each other a lot!

(Senior year Homecoming, dress made by Christine Fuller)

-After our freshman year at BYU, Stephen served a two year mission in Vina del Mar, Chile. I was at BYU doing classes, dancing, and having lots of fun. I went home to Arizona for his mission homecoming talk in church. That weekend was so happy for both of us, and we may have already been talking about marriage:)

already snuggly

Stephen came up to Utah two weeks later, just so we could spend more time together. We had a "family" dinner with my roommates who missed Stephen almost as much as I did. We had a family dinner with his sister + family and mom. Stephen planned our first date since the mission - we went to The Roof on Temple Square. Afterwards we walked around the temple, sat down on a bench right in front of the temple, then he dropped down on one knee and asked if I would marry him!
(post dinner, pre proposal - I didn't know why we had to get a picture:)

Four months later we were married in the Salt Lake Temple, a dream come true!

ps - We ran into my friend who took pictures today - she said she'll probably have them ready next week!

Mr. & Mrs. Case

Hello, we are Mr. & Mrs. Case.

(Salt Lake City Temple)

The husband informed me twice this week that since I am now a wife I have to make us a blog...tah dah! Hopefully he and our moms will be interested.

We were married almost one month ago and are having fun figuring out how to be married. Everyday Stephen makes me laugh, everyday he realizes the "great" opinions I have (Stephen's choice of word). But we love each other a lot and are very happy to be married!
