Welcome Home - Good bye

While I was gone Stephen planned a Welcome Home party for me with my roommates. So on Tuesday we had a BBQ family dinner. Stephen and I got a small cheap BBQ with our gift cards and we made meat and vegetable skewers. We had a great set up in our backyard and the Utah weather was perfect. Everyone stayed over for hours chatting with a lot of laughing. I love these girls, they are my family.

But it was also a goodbye dinner because Carly and David are moving to California. Thankfully we will still see them a few times this summer, but we are all heartbroken to be losing them. This was our last "family dinner" as we call them, and last night we all went to Zupas for our last night. We just love each other a lot!

My last tour

I have been on the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble for the past three years. It has been such a great opportunity. I have traveled all around the western states, the midwestern states, and Easter Europe. We perform for ambassadors when they visit BYU, and in the Marriott Center once a year. This team was a huge part of my college experience and I feel so blessed to have been able to do it for three years. I just got home from my last tour which was bittersweet. I love dancing and performing, but I love Stephen more so I am happy to be able to be home more with him.

Big news

The week I left stephen and I each had some big news in our lives. I got a teaching internship at Lehi junior high teaching Foods, and Stephen was called as a second counsellor in a Byu singles ward bishopric. We were so grateful for both of these opportunities. Bring on adulthood!

Half way home

I left on tour 12 days ago. Therefore tomorrow afternoon I will be half way home to my husband! We have been able to talk every day and FaceTime when I am brave enough to ask for wifi from my host family. Tour has been fun, awesome to perform for thousands of people, and stay with host families. But this is my last tour, really even my last experience with dance. And I am happily leaving at the right time. Stephen has been doing pretty well in my absence. I think every inch of our home has been cleaned. He says he doesnt even remember what it's like to be marrieds.I said he was being a little bit dramatic! Here is where I have been:
Farmington new Mexico,
Alamogordo new Mexico,
El Paso Texas
Midland Texas
Corpus Christi Texas
Laredo Texas
San Antonio

tomorrow Half way home Stephen!
